Local Math

We did a little math. It’s one thing to talk about buying local, but it’s another to commit to it with every purchase. We looked at the books and in 2022, we spent $119,580 at Michigan-based businesses of all kinds. That’s out of the $140,359 that we had control over (so excluding rent, utilities, etc). So 85% of our spending. As a little business, that’s a big number. If we wanted to, could we find cheap ingredients from a big farm in another state? Yup. Could we save time and buy stuff online with a quick click? Sure. Are we gonna? Nope. Thank you for trusting us with your business, and be proud that your support goes on to support dozens of other folks who are pursuing their passions, crafting awesome stuff, and supporting their local economies.
